Arun Rabbani (MAPM)
With a profound passion for integrating management techniques into challenging engineering environments, I bring extensive experience to the dynamic realm of project management. My journey has encompassed the oversight of diverse HVAC packages for large offshore Oil & Gas facilities and the construction of prestigious bio-containment suites and clean rooms across the UK. Notably, I played a pivotal role in the development of a multi-story biomedical research facility in Cambridge, contributing to its prestige and functionality.
As a dedicated Consultant Project Manager specializing in bio-containment facilities, my current focus revolves around leveraging my in-depth knowledge and expertise to orchestrate the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of facilities crucial for containing biological agents. This critical work is essential for safeguarding public health and safety. My role requires navigating complex regulatory frameworks while collaboratively engaging with a diverse team of professionals, including designers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

I am a seasoned professional with over 20 years of successful experience in the construction industry. My journey began as a mechanical engineer, laying the foundation for a career marked by expertise and accomplishment. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated proficiency in project management across a diverse array of projects. My focus has evolved to specialize in controlled environment biocontainment and cleanroom project delivery.
Specializing in M+E (Mechanical and Electrical) Project Management, I have been involved in managing complex M+E designs. My early projects included the refurbishment of the BMS (Building Management System) and Fumigation damper systems of a CL3 (ACDP) animal facility, along with the installation and commissioning of an Autoclave under an NEC4 contract. My extensive portfolio also includes the replacement of various plant items, such as (N+1) 500Kw chillers, steam-heated calorifiers, AHU replacements, DX Units, steam-driven LTHW plate heat exchangers, MTHW boilers, and generators.
With a profound understanding of NEC contracts and vast experience in bio-containment facilities, I find fulfilment in the intricacies of engineering M+E systems. My commitment to excellence is evident in my track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, navigating complexities with ease. Under both JCT and NEC contracts, I have overseen and successfully delivered a multitude of projects.
One of my notable achievements was as the Project Manager at Kings College London, where I led the delivery of a CL3 suite on the 5th floor of the Hodgkin building. This project showcased my leadership skills and ability to navigate the unique challenges associated with cutting-edge facilities.
